Thursday 8 March 2007Tower Bridge, 6pm for a 6:30 start
Tony Blair is rushing through a vote in parliament next month to build a replacement for Trident - a new generation of nuclear weapons. The outcome of the vote will have severe implications not just for the UK, but also for the rest of the world. As a valued supporter,we would like to invite you to join us to witness a special performance on the Greenpeace ship MY Arctic Sunrise.Damon Albarn and Brian Eno have written a new piece of music for the event, which will be premiered with a full backing choir on the helideck of the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise. The piece will be directed by theatre director Hannah Eidinow while Robert del Naja of Massive Attack has designed the visuals. The full line-up is being kept under wraps until tomorrow. We're also hoping to broadcast the event live on the web to the world - providing we can set up a reliable internet connection for a ship in the middle of the Thames. To see the show all you need to do is come down to Butlers Wharf near Tower Bridge, London at 6.30pm, this Thursday. Come and add your voice to the event. Please check this page for updates and confirmation of the time and place before the day.
